Raw Materials

BioPower is committed to sustainable practices in all aspects of our business, from the sourcing of our raw materials and manufacturing practises, to pellet processing and distribution.

The raw materials that we use to make our commercial and residential wood pellets are sourced primarily from Canadian Forests. Specifically, the majority of our fibre supply comes from within the province of Ontario and especially within the Great Lakes/St. Lawrence Forest Regions.

Canada and Ontario offer the highest forest management standards in the world which include stringent legislation and policy regulations to safeguard forests for future generations. Our business is proud to meet legislative requirements and of forest certification standards to ensure:

  • Best-in-class harvest practices
